Our Story
FeedXchange started with a simple question: Why is buying feed so complicated?
As a farmer, I spent countless hours chasing the best prices, juggling endless calls to brokers, and dealing with a market that seemed anything but transparent. Frustrated by the inefficiency, I realized there had to be a better way.
That's why I created FeedXchange—a platform built to simplify feed procurement. With real-time price comparisons, seamless ordering, and transparent market insights, we're empowering farmers across Western Canada to save time, cut costs, and make smarter decisions.

Founding Team
Styn Nieuwenhuis
Founder & Director of Business Development
Styn Nieuwenhuis farms alongside his father, helping manage a mixed dairy and grain operation near Red Deer, Alberta, where they milk 180 cows using Lely A5 robotic milking systems and farm approximately 1,000 acres. Growing up in a farming family, he developed a strong understanding of the challenges and economics of running a modern agricultural business, leading him to focus on efficiency, cost control, and the practical adoption of technology. He is a practical farm manager who understands technology and markets.
He has worked on dairy farms in New Zealand, on a 10,000-acre grain farm, and at an agricultural research farm, gaining experience in pasture-based systems, large-scale crop production, precision agriculture, and livestock management. After winning a student entrepreneurship competition, he attended Draper University in Silicon Valley, where he studied product management, artificial intelligence, and venture capital. This experience led him to found FeedXchange, a platform designed to improve transparency and efficiency in feed procurement for livestock producers. Outside of farming and business, he enjoys running, hiking, and skiing.
Cortina Kereluk-Bird
Chief Executive Officer
Cortina is the CEO of FeedXChange, an AgTech innovation company improving how farmers secure feed supplies. She is also a founder and the President of Ox + Plow Agriculture, a Canadian-based investment firm and innovation developer that collaborates with agricultural producers through long-term partnerships and access to advanced technologies. Co-owner of Tax Haus Inc. since 2004, Cortina has decades of experience supporting farming and ranching families. Based in Calgary, she is a dedicated tennis player, world traveler, and enjoys summers at the lake with her family.
Kevin Frankowski
Director of Innovation
Kevin is an innovation specialist, focused on creating value for users, investors and partners. He is a founder and the CEO of Ox + Plow Agriculture, a Canadian-based investment firm and innovation developer, collaborating with agricultural producers through long-term partnerships and ongoing access to leading-edge solutions. He is serial entrepreneur who has successfully achieved multiple exits. Additionally, he has led a groundbreaking technology accelerator in the energy sector, as well as a $36m pilot-testing facility for the University of Calgary focused on de-risking emerging water and wastewater treatment technologies. He has led multiple innovation teams and coached over 100 companies in their growth from idea to market. Kevin also has extensive experience in corporate innovation for companies such as ATCO, ENMAX, Suncor and WestJet, enabling them to unlock new growth potential. Kevin enjoys spending time in the beautiful outdoors with his family.
